The Vault is a unique program designed to showcase the evolution of architectural documentation over the years, from 1947 to the present day. Architecture firms from across Victoria have lent their archived documentation packages of some of Victoria’s most iconic projects, providing insight into the changing practices and techniques used in architectural documentation.

The Vault will host keynote and panel discussions across Melbourne Design Week at the Brickworks showroom located at 367 Collins Street. These discussions will cover a range of topics, including the golden age of hand drawing, the OVGA Future Homes Program, the development of a Design Standard Guideline by the VBA, documentation and designing for Country, and the future of digital documentation.
