The Vault is a unique program designed to showcase the evolution of architectural documentation over the years, from 1947 to the present day. Architecture firms from across Victoria have lent their archived documentation packages of some of Victoria’s most iconic projects, providing insight into the changing practices and techniques used in architectural documentation.

The program features a curated library of drawings, starting with the drawings produced by Robin Boyd’s “Small Homes Service” in 1947, and spanning to contemporary documentation practices. This exhibition will offer design practitioners and the public a rare opportunity to explore the evolution of architectural documentation firsthand. This collection of drawings is free to access by the public in the Brickworks showroom at 367 Collins Street during business hours.
