In a celebration of Australian architecture and design, K5 Furniture will exhibit the new Grounds collection. The collection is based on the designs of world-renowned architect Roy Grounds, alongside artwork by Emma Jackson, and our Boyd Collection. K5 Furniture is excited to launch this Australian furniture release with original designs by Roy Grounds x K5.

The Grounds Collection launch will include a panel discussion on Wednesday 29th May, with architects Tony Lee and Emma Jackson, CEO Erna Walsh, moderated by Aleesha Callahan. The exhibition will be open to visit across Melbourne Design Week.

Roy Grounds was a prolific architect with an established body of work from 1930’s – 1970’s across Victoria, Canberra and New South Wales, including the National Gallery of Victoria and Melbourne Arts Centre, completed in 1968. The launch of the Grounds collection coincides with the 40th-year celebration of the Melbourne Arts Centre. Grounds residential apartments and homes can still be viewed in and around Melbourne and Sydney.

The Grounds collection first release includes a range of furniture from Roy Grounds’ Clendon apartment development. The furniture includes a dining table, coffee table, stool, bench seat and ottoman, re-created in line with the original Roy Grounds designs. The classic furniture is designed and crafted here in Melbourne using local natural materials.
