Join Dianne Beevers for an immersive exhibition showcasing her own contemporary furniture designs. With a design journey spanning two decades in Melbourne (Naarm/Birrarung-ga) and more recently in Newcastle (Muloobinba), NSW, Beevers presents a collection that reflects her unique design vocabulary developed over her career.
At the heart of Beevers’ work are revisionist and oversized storage leans and Pi Disc low tables, crafting contemporary tableaux suitable for both starkly modern interiors and heritage spaces.
Exploring a range of materials, Beevers’ early choices of Hoop Pine plywood and recycled plastic sheets have evolved into the use of Toona australis, highlighting Australian design while raising questions about the sustainability of our forests. “Cedar Lean,” a standout piece from 2021, was featured in Workshoped 2021 at the Australian Design Centre in Sydney, a testament to Beevers’ innovative approach.
