This exhibition showcases the development and progression of First Nations glass artists and designers through the Glaas Inc Glass Program.

Glaas Inc delivers a program of glass workshops for First Nations artists in various glass techniques including leadlighting, kiln forming and fusing, painting, copperfoiling, and sandblasting. The objective is to provide First Nations artists with opportunities to learn glass techniques in order to create works with the benefit of understanding the many ways in which the material can be utilised, to express their creativity, and bring their unique cultural influences to glass art works. The use of different techniques blended with the cultural influences of the artists has led to the creation of stunning glass works. The connection to the land threads its way through the work and the glass is used in ways to shape and enhance this perspective resulting in works which lead to more understanding and appreciation of First Nations people and their land.
