How can design translate the ethereal and metaphysical into a decorative lighting collection? Join Christopher Boots Studio at their offsite atelier for an immersive lighting installation off the back of the launch of CRUX at Milan Design Week 2024.

Crux is a constellation of the southern hemisphere that is centered on five bright stars in a cross-shaped asterism commonly known as the Southern Cross. Explore this familiar constellation through contemporary design and experience the hand-blown glass forms explicitly developed for CRUX in collaboration with local glass blowers. The collection highlights how the studio translates the metaphysical into matter, continuing its playful and envelop-pushing exploration into its medium and expanding on its signature lexicon of materials. The exhibition demonstrates the ‘crux’ where astronomy and contemporary lighting design intersect, incorporating textured blown glass forms, moving away from the studio’s signature library of quartz crystal. Attendees will be transported to an other-worldly lunar landscape to experience this new lighting collection.
