Is design simply commercial? Can it be lucrative in other dimensions?

Beyond Profit is an opportunity to explore the many ways design can operate outside the capitalistic norms of business to build creative workspaces that payback beyond the dollar figure. Recognising design can be an agency for good or bad, panelists will highlight the industries responsibility to think more deeply about the choices we make and the possibilities surrounding them.

Adopting this approach, we think viscerally about the business of design, and create room to iterate ethical systems into culture, work and supplier regimes. The panel will share tactics on how to claim authorship over these ethical decisions so they become unconscious rituals with lasting, unconventional returns.
