BAR Studio, a Melbourne-grown international hospitality design firm, has restored the historic warehouse at 47 Easey Street, Collingwood as its new studio as an exemplar of adaptive reuse and green building practices. The local landmark now brings together a creative community of creative tenants that will foster a collaborative village and form a new contemporary cultural hub.

Hear from the voices behind building the community from the process of the building’s adaptive reuse to its current creative occupants.

Moderated by Suzy Annetta, Editor-In-Chief of Design Anthology, this panel discussion includes:

  • Felicity Beck, co-founder and managing partner of BAR Studio – developer, designer & anchor tenant;
  • Neil Hugh Kenna, founder and director of NHO, a brand strategy and marketing agency – consultant on placemaking;
  • Robbie Neville, founder of Revival, a sustainable building practice – repurposing building contractor;
  • Mayatili Marika, Cultural Adviser and Partnerships Officer Agency Projects & University of Melbourne, and
  • Kade McDonald, CEO and founder of Agency, a not-for-profit cultural organisation – tenant & connector to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander communities.
