These Three Books

Commoners Press presents a public print workshop on the theme of healing, replenishing and rebalancing. This workshop invites participants to create their own work in response to the theme.

Participants will use three different materials – metal type, graphic wooden blocks and printable LEGO elements – to create a shared letterpress artefact.

This workshop will include up to fourteen participants and result in a short print run of an octavo format chapbook.

The chapbooks will be printed and bound during the workshop.

Commoners Press will also hold this workshop at Ballarat’s historic Mining Exchange on Saturday 2 May and Saturday 9 May as part of Ballarat Craft and Design Week. Visit the Ballarat Craft and Design Week site or our Eventbrite page to sign up or for more information on these.

Together as a result of these workshops the result will reveal three chapbooks, each comprising sixteen pages and forty-two individual responses to each festival’s design themes.
