Biomaterials could significantly reduce carbon emissions in the construction industry. This project considers the barriers to their adoption and how they might be addressed.
As an architect, Isabella Peppard created a podcast to explore these questions, interviewing Australian manufacturers of bio-based construction materials. These interviews focus on the regenerative nature of the materials and processes, fusing design, science and technology.
This exhibition continues this solutions-focused, practical approach to specifying and coordinating biomaterial usage in building projects. Materials will be on display alongside information and explanations.
The materials exhibition will be open from 10 am, with a Susty Spec launch party from 6 pm onwards.
Note: no sponsorship or product placements form part of the podcast or exhibition. Materials were independently researched against Susty Spec criteria.
