Renewable Real Estate: Retrofitting the Workplace

Presented by FK

Hosted by FK, this panel discussion draws on the practice’s recently published Adapt. Reuse. Return. report to explore the future of Australia’s ageing office buildings.

The conversation will examine the scale of underperforming CBD office stock across the country and consider how these assets might be repositioned through retrofit and refurbishment rather than demolition and rebuild.

Panellists will discuss the environmental, commercial and design implications of office-to-office renewal, including how upgrades can improve building performance, respond to tenant expectations and contribute to the ongoing evolution of central business districts.

The session offers a moderated discussion grounded in research, industry experience and practical case studies, followed by audience questions and open dialogue.
