How can the intersection of science, design, and healing influence the frequency with which we experience the world? Set within Quiet Studio, join Matthew Bird, multidisciplinary artist, architect, and founding director of Studiobird and Sammy Prowse, physiotherapist and founding director of Universal Practice in conversation on the overlapping philosophies that underpin the space.
With collective expertise across a range of sectors, this session will explore the science and transformative power of design and sound on the nervous system. Reflecting on the collaborative design process for Quiet Studio, the value of interior acoustics, and the varied considerations in crafting an immersive, sensory space, experience firsthand how thoughtful design nurtures wellbeing and elevates both mind and body.
This talk is offered on Melbourne Design Week’s opening Saturday. Tickets are free, but due to limited capacity in the space, bookings are essential.
