People Place and Public Transport is an exhibition that reimagines the future of mobility by placing human experience at its core, exploring how design can transform mobility into a more inclusive, sustainable, and enjoyable expeYrience for everyone. The Monash University Mobility Design Lab uses thoughtful design to demonstrate how transport can be transformed from functional to deeply enriching.

The Mobility Design Lab aspires to push the boundaries of the understanding and execution of mobility. Its primary focus is how design might improve the physical, environmental and experiential aspects of mobility around urban centres. It seeks to advance the future of mobility using a sustainability lens, which considers decarbonisation and the transition from personal cars to shared, active and micro transport modes.
