Is there a reason many women turn to community running crews and clubs? Is there a correlation between safety and the global rise in run club culture?
In partnership with Knog and V1 Studios, amateur athlete and design creative Katie Kelso will lead a night run to reclaim the dark Melbourne streets – a luxury unfamiliar to most women. All participants will receive a headlamp from Knog for a 5km run through the backstreets of Collingwood and Abbotsford: via Dights falls, Merri Creek and the Capital City Trail, through the Collingwood Children’s Farm and over a dimly lit overpass before returning to Collingwood Yards. (The headlamps can then be returned to Knog, or purchased for a donation that will go directly to the HER Move campaign.)

Prior to the run, there is a brief Q&A with Katherine Newton and Tom Robertson of V1 Studios, where they discuss the HER Move campaign – which empowers elite female athletes via financial support – and the safety issues women face when running.
All genders and allies welcome.
100 per cent of ticket profits will be donated to the HER Move campaign.
