First Nation’s Story Telling At Fitzroy & Co: The Intersection Of Art & Design

Hosted at the recently completed BTR project by Est, Fitzroy & Co located in Fitzroy North, discover the story behind the project’s incredible collection of First Nation’s art, curated in collaboration between Est and SW Art Consulting.

Led by Sarah Weston from SW Art Consulting, the evening commences with a comprehensive tour of the many and diverse artworks that are featured throughout 13 levels of the boutique BTR project. Guests will then have the opportunity to hear from Lisa Waup, Peter Hood, as well as Est Development Manager, Megan McCormick, in an engaging conversation.

This event tells the incredible story of working with local, emerging and established First Nation’s artists to carefully curate a storytelling journey in both public and common spaces. It will offer rich insights into each artist’s approach and their response to a creative brief, and how their unique installations, sculptures and artworks combine to tell a rich narrative of culture, place, design, connection and community.
