Explorations in Scaling the Bespoke

This exhibition will bring together artists, makers and seasoned commercial fabricators, showcasing collaborative works designed for BAR Studio’s luxury hospitality projects as well as exploratory BAR Object bespoke products developed for scaled production.

Local artist, designer and maker participants include: Alex Earl, Anna Finlayson, BAR Studio, Diego Faivre, DREZ, Geoff Nees, G.W. Bot, Manda Lane, RL Foote Design Studio, Robert Bridgewater and Will Eicholtz.

The exhibition explores methodologies for creative and commercial exchange between artists and makers, project designers and fabricators to bring bespoke products within reach of large-scale commercial projects and those markets closer to artists and makers.

Hosted in BAR Studio’s gallery space, the exhibition will assemble a series of products at diverse stages of collaboration – from BAR Object prototypes to completed pieces featured in BAR Studio projects, including custom textiles and finishes, decorative and functional objects, furniture and light fixtures.
