DROPS uses ceramics as a medium to bring hidden grief into the light and foster meaningful conversations. This collection unites themes of resilience, healing, and emotional connection through pieces that reflect the layered complexities of life and the environment.

Inspired by the geological richness of Australia and the convergence of Elena Strohfeldt’s LAYERS and GOLD collections, DROPS introduces golden accents that symbolise both quiet victories and the tears shed during early pregnancy loss. The golden droplets that adorn each vase echo the deep, personal grief often experienced behind closed doors, a grief that society rarely acknowledges but that demands to be seen and shared. By challenging the silence surrounding early pregnancy loss, the collection aims to foster empathy and inspire open conversations. It transforms personal sorrow into a universal story of healing and connection, showcasing the potential of ceramics to repair and replenish both individuals and communities.

Crafted with marbled, earthy-toned clay, DROPS mirrors the hidden ecosystems of our planet and the often-unseen emotional landscapes we navigate. Each piece invites the viewer to reflect on the fragility and strength inherent in the human spirit and natural world. The intricate patterns beneath the surface represent resilience, while the golden accents place grief front and center — transforming it into a shared and empowering narrative.
