Carapace is a collection of lighting products — both flame-source and electric — drawn from the dual inspiration of antique candle reflectors and the form of a turtle’s shell. The name of the collection evokes both the protective function of a turtle’s shell, a natural design evolved to safeguard the animal, and the way in which the cast metal shades shelter and enhance the light source they contain.
Lost Profile Studio will hold their Australian launch of Carapace within their brand new 300 square metre showroom in Brunswick.
