Bite Sized Design is an international group exhibition of designers, architects and artists exploring the translation of scale, form and spatial thinking into edible form.
The project emerges from the decade-long practice of Ryan L Foote, a Melbourne / Hong Kong–based designer internationally recognised for his digitally generated 3D sculptural chocolate forms. Operating at the intersection of art, design and gastronomy, Chocolates by Ryan L Foote explores chocolate as a medium for spatial experimentation, precision fabrication and contemporary form-making.
For this exhibition, Foote extends this investigation outward. Bite Sized Design showcases sculptural chocolate forms developed over the years while inviting architects, artists and designers to contribute their own visions, translating their visual language into edible design at a radically reduced scale.
What happens when monumentality becomes miniature? When structural logic becomes confection? When digital forms become something edible?
The exhibition will run from May 19th to 27th.
