As more makers and designers actively reflect on the impacts of their production methods, a shift toward more thoughtful and responsible creation is emerging. Bio(me) is a group exhibition exploring the intersection of art, design, material innovation and sustainability. The exhibition is influenced by growing conversations around environmental urgency and material responsibility, and aligns with a movement of artists and designers who are rethinking systems of waste and exploring the use of biomaterials through themes of permanence and decay. Works in the show incorporate materials such as mycelium, kelp, food waste, textile offcuts, rubber, plastic waste, mud , and other salvaged or organic matter. Bio(me) opens up a space for reflection and dialogue, encouraging viewers to consider how art, design, and material innovation can play a pivotal role in creating a more sustainable future.
