Each designer is encouraged to channel that personal sense of occasion into their work, approaching the task not with solemnity, but with curiosity and play. This exhibition is an opportunity to design for the sheer enjoyment of it: to experiment with unfamiliar materials or to express their masterful skill with a known one. It’s a reminder that not every design needs to solve a problem, sometimes it can simply raise a smile, or a glass.
