Join moderator Leila Gurruwiwi from Agency Projects for a grassy panel discussion with co-producers of the Grasslands documentary, Lee Ramseyer Bache and Ivan Masic, Reg Abrahams of Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative, and Melissa Doherty, Urban Biodiversity Officer at Hume City Council. Hear from this passionate and knowledgeable panel on the significant value of our grasslands, and what we can do to help Regenerate them.

Lee Ramseyer Bache
Lee is an experienced filmmaker who has worked as a Director, Producer and Scriptwriter in Australia and the UK. He directed Darebin's Natural Heritage (2019), which was selected for the Environmental Film Festival Australia. This inspired him to create the Grasslands documentary that highlights the significance of native grasslands in addressing Australia's water, fire, climate and food crises.

Ivan Masic
Ivan is an audio-visual artist and filmmaker who works across music videos, short-form documentaries, audio-visual installations & performances. The primary focus of Ivan’s work is in creating an authentic audio-visual vocabulary that seeks to inform, challenge and inspire, whilst broadening our understanding and experience of conceptual ideas. He is DoP, Producer, Editor of the Grasslands documentary.

Reg Abrahams
Reg is an Indigenous protected areas project coordinator at Wathaurong Aboriginal Co-operative. Wathaurong was first formed by community in 1978 and established as a registered organisation in 1980 to provide culturally appropriate programs, support and services for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living on Wathaurong, Gulidjan and Gadubanud country, within the wider Geelong, Bellarine and Colac regions.

Melissa Doherty
Working in the environmental management and biodiversity conservation sector for over 20 years, Melissa has also been mainly involved in community engagement and education, with a focus on sustainable behaviour change.

Leila Gurruwiwi
Leila Gurruwiwi (she/her) is a proud Yolŋu woman, originally from Galiwinku on Elcho Island in North East Arnhem Land, NT. Leila has called the lands of the Kulin Nation and Victoria home since she was very young. As a media personality, presenter, actor, cultural ambassador and mentor, Leila is passionate about raising awareness, embracing cultural heritage, and fighting for a more inclusive and united society. Leila is the Cultural Liaison and Public Programs Lead at Agency Projects, where she works to create opportunities for First Nations perspectives to be heard by a wider audience.
