Living Together: The Story Of De Warren is a documentary about the establishment of Housing Cooperative De Warren. The film begins with KONIJN, a group of friends who organise parties and festivals. After founding a permaculture farm in Portugal, the idea of living together arises. The idea of De Warren is born. The project is ambitious, being the first of its kind in the Netherlands, and none of the young housing pioneers have ever built a house. It’s an inspiring film that points to a new way of living sustainably and communally.

How can we design and deliver better, more connected communities? Following the screening on the 18th, join for a compelling panel discussion co-hosted by social impact consultancy Amplifier Collective. The panel will bring together urbanists and housing sector experts to unpack cooperative models and how innovative design and community-led developments might transform the way we think about housing.

This film is part of the Melbourne Design Week Film Festival curated by Spiro Economopoulos.
