Diversifying Design History is a new mural that has been created by the Master of Design students from Swinburne University of Technology’s School of Design and Architecture in collaboration with Melbourne street artist Ghostpatrol a.k.a. David Booth. Together they have researched and designed a mural on their Hawthorn campus and will be launching it at this event.

Pam the Bird has recently polarised Melbourne and brought street art and graffiti back into our daily water cooler conversations. This event questions the value of legal and illegal murals and the power they have to reclaim space and spread messages publicly. Artist David Booth will launch the mural in conversation with Dr Sabina Andron, a graffiti expert, and Swinburne lecturer Dr Jane Connory, to discuss how our vibrant city still embraces public murals and the power they have to convey important societal messages.

Come for the conversation, and enjoy a free lunch from Taco Truck and All Day Donuts.
