A better world is intrinsically linked to equality. How can we as individuals effect change? Protests have long been a powerful movement for people to fight for their rights and effect actual change. The exhibition Placard explores the theme of collective action and design within protests, demonstrations and marches where wanting a better future is the explicit ask. With increased polarisation and inequality resulting in a sense of powerlessness we will examine how people can use design to heal, repair and work towards social change.
