As Fitzroy evolves, hospitality, culture and multi-residential living are reshaping the suburb’s social fabric. This panel explores the balance between past and present, the integration of new residential developments and hospitality venues into the existing community, and what the future holds for those deeply entwined within Fitzroy life and those moving into the ‘burb.

The talk features panellists Liz Ride, Associate Director at Studio Tate and project lead for new multi-residential development The Regent by SMA on Johnston Street, alongside James Cameron, Design Manager at StandardX, and Nick Jumara, Creative Strategist at Right Angle, with host and moderator Alice Blackwood, Director at AB Strategic Storytelling.

The discussion unfolds at The Regent Display Suite, an immersive home-meets-retail experience crafted by Studio Tate for SMA. Here, guests can explore The Regent’s vision for future Fitzroy living before settling in for a thought-provoking conversation. Drawing on data insights and diverse perspectives, the panel will navigate the opportunities and tensions of change in one of Melbourne’s most dynamic inner-city neighbourhoods.
