Exhibition
Melbourne Museum showcases the work of some of Victoria’s most outstanding VCE, VM and VCE VET design and technology students at Top Designs 2025.
In a continuing partnership with the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority (VCAA), Melbourne Museum is displaying the creations of 77 of exceptional, young designers carefully selected from a pool of more than 1,000 applications by a team of specialist educators. Visitors can witness the inventive ways in which the students employ design to contribute to a more progressive world, with many creations proposing ethically-focused solutions to ongoing social and environmental challenges.
Alongside the exhibition, Top Designs 2025 features a series of in-person educational forums and panels led by industry experts. These forums offer valuable perspectives and inspiration for current VCE, VM and VCE VET design and technology students and teachers. The expert speakers are drawn from across multiple industries, backgrounds and campaigns, including Melbourne Design Week itself.
Now in its 25th year, Top Designs 2025 is presented as part of the VCAA’s VCE Season of Excellence, an annual showcase celebrating creative and innovative work from Victorian secondary schools, which also includes Top Acts, Top Arts, Top Class, Top Screen and Top Talks. Top Designs 2025 exhibits at Melbourne Museum until 20 July 2025.
