Step into Natural Brutalism, an exhibition where creativity and sustainability converge through the work of Capra Designs and Anna Sassi Design.
This exhibit invites you to explore the tactile beauty of cork — a material that balances raw elegance with environmental responsibility — offering a fresh take on how innovation can reshape interior design. Through Capra Designs’ contemporary approach to product design and Anna Sassi’s expertise in surface design, the duo explores the intersection of art and architecture. Their work takes elements from Anna Sassi’s two-dimensional designs and brings them into Capra Designs’ three-dimensional world, blending bold geometry, rich textures, and artful surfaces to explore the boundaries of materiality.
The collection of interior decor on display celebrates cork’s unique versatility, highlighting its sustainable qualities and potential in modern design. Each piece tells a story of craftsmanship and creativity, encouraging visitors to rethink how nature’s materials can be reimagined in design.

Anna Sassi
Anna Sassi Design is an Australian textile studio based in East Gippsland, Victoria. Her distinctive aesthetic is characterised by bold geometric compositions with an emphasis on colour. Balancing sophistication with thoughtful design, Sassi’s collections are produced locally on demand for residential and commercial interiors worldwide. Offering a bespoke design service from initial concept through to application, she is passionate about helping others bring their pattern dreams to life.
Bianca Lambert
Bianca Lambert is the designer behind Capra Designs, driven by a deep appreciation for craftsmanship and the artistry of handmade objects. Her journey began with a focus on indoor plant pots and has since evolved into an exploration of sustainable materials, particularly Portuguese cork—a renewable, textural medium that harmonises natural beauty with contemporary design. Bianca approaches design with both intuition and precision, creating functional objects that celebrate bold forms and thoughtful composition. At Capra Designs, she is committed to crafting pieces that transcend trends — designed in Mornington Peninsula, Australia, with a focus on both function and form. Each creation is made to bring joy to the everyday, enriching spaces with beauty and purpose.
