Event information

The program title should be less than ten words and provide a clue to what the event is about. Use a colon over hyphen, en- or em-dash to break parts of title.

List the event organiser. You can add more than one presenter profile. These will display on the event page as ‘Presented by Presenter name & Presenter name‘. If there are several supporters or collaborators, you can list this with a sentence in the event description further below.

This text should describe the event, including what people should expect when they come to your event. Please write in third person and limit superlatives.

This is the email for which all public enquires should be sent for this event.

Please do not use text or logos on this image. This is to be a photo or render. Please ensure your image includes an image caption. We are unable to publish an event listing if its image does not have a corresponding caption. Include the title, the year, and the photographer’s name. Dates and ticketing

If your event runs over multiple days, please add each date one at a time. If you have events planned as part of exhibitions, you can add the date and time, and then write in the date notes what the event is, for example, Talk or Opening.

Location details

The name of the venue can be manually added under Venue. Please note, the venue must be in Victoria, Australia. If your event is online, please type ‘Online’. The event address can be populated via a search bar connected to Google maps that will generate the venue directly under Location.

Please select the general area of Melbourne/Victoria your event will take place.

Participant details

This can include bios for hosts, panellists, speakers, curators etc.

ABOUT

Melbourne Design Week (MDW) is Australia’s leading design festival, providing a platform for designers, studios, and creatives to present their work and ideas. The 2026 festival will take place from Thursday, 14 May, to Sunday, 24 May.

Successful applicants can now submit their event details through the participant portal. You have until 12pm, March 2 2026 to finalise and enter your event information before the portal closes. After this date, any amendments to the event information can be requested via [email protected] until the website launch in mid-April.
