Melbourne Design Week engages both professional audiences and the general public. We encourage you to consider how your event will be accessible and engaging for a broader public audience. Please outline your key target audiences and how your event is tailored to them (max 300 words)

Please note, the venue must be in Victoria, Australia. If you have not confirmed a venue, please enter details of your ideal venue, or venues you plan to pursue. Please note, the NGV does not provide participants with a venue.

Dates must fall between 14-24 May 2026. You are welcome to enter estimated or unconfirmed dates at this time.

  • The demonstrated capability of the applicant to successfully deliver the program

ABOUT

Melbourne Design Week (MDW) is Australia’s leading design festival, providing a platform for designers, studios, and creatives to present their work and ideas. The 2026 festival will take place from Thursday, 14 May, to Sunday, 24 May.

Successful applicants can now submit their event details through the participant portal. You have until 12pm on 13 November 2025 to finalise and enter your event information before the portal closes. After this date, any amendments to the event information can be requested via [email protected] until the website launch in mid-April.
